Communication among the parties is essential in moving a divorce forward, and an attorney can make all the difference between facilitating it and hindering it. As an attorney who believes strongly in maintaining open communication, Natalia Duque gives her clients undivided attention, makes the law understandable, and keeps her clients informed every step of the way. Natalia's commitment to serving clients in this way is especially appreciated by affluent expatriate clients, who face unique challenges in obtaining a divorce.

As an individual who has moved to the United States herself, Natalia understands the issues of expatriates going through divorce, such as dealing with foreign courts, inter jurisdictional custody, property acquired abroad, and immigration implications. Natalia helps clients navigate the legal process with ease, analyzing all possible outcomes and utilizing her bilingual skills in explaining the divorce process.

Natalia's intellectual ability and relentless drive for perfection assures clients the highest quality of representation. Poised yet aggressive, Natalia is able to diffuse conflict, often applying creativity and outside-the-box thinking to obtain favorable settlements for her clients. When negotiation proves fruitless, Natalia does not hesitate to take the case to the courtroom.

An associate of the firm, Natalia dates her commitment to children and families to her college years, when she served as a Guardian Ad Litem in a number of child abuse and neglect cases. Natalia graduated from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, and from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. In law school, Natalia demonstrated a particular ability in Family Law, earning the Dean's Award for having obtained the highest grade in her class in that course. Natalia is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in Georgia. Prior to joining Goranson Bain, Natalia worked as a deportation defense attorney, which experience assisted her in successfully transitioning into the practice of family law.
