Every complex divorce has its strengths and weaknesses. An insightful lawyer like Clint Westhoff sees them clearly, the result of applying analytical and technical skills, in conjunction with a deep knowledge of the law. Clint is then able to develop a strategy to maximize results for his clients. He follows a straightforward approach to managing cases, making it very easy for his clients to understand the legal and factual issues in their case. Bringing objectivity to the case, Clint helps clients weigh the pros and cons of the settlement so they can wisely allocate resources to pursue what is achievable.
Once Clint and his client identify what is reasonable, he advocates aggressively for each client. Clint is also able to provide an invaluable sense of assurance during what is, for most people, one of the most stressful experiences one can face. Clint's prowess in representing clients both in and out of the courtroom has earned him the respect of his peers and a reputation for being a skilled and highly intelligent attorney, which is reflected in his being selected for inclusion on the list of Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters for each year from 2004 through 2010.
Clint grew up in the small town of St. John, Kansas, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1994. After graduating with deans honors from Washburn University School of Law in 1996, he spent the first three years of his legal career working for Kansas Legal Services where he represented disabled children in the foster care program, the elderly, and clients with incomes below the poverty line in divorce, custody, and domestic abuse cases which very quickly built extensive courtroom experience. After becoming licensed in Texas in November 1999, Clint moved to Texas and limited his practice exclusively to more complex family law cases. Clint has now been practicing law for more than fourteen years, over a decade of which has been dedicated exclusively to the practice of family law in Texas. Clint is also certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law.
